The software environment of CEOI 2023 will mainly consist of a virtual machine that runs Ubuntu Linux 22.04 (minimal desktop environment) and provides the following packages (in sufficiently recent versions, if not explicitly specified):
- Compiler: GCC 11.2.0
- Interpreters: Ruby, Python
- Text-Editors / IDEs: Atom, Code::Blocks (installed, but not supported), Eclipse, Emacs, Geany, Kate, Kdevelop, Nano, Sublime, Vim, Visual Studio Code
- Debuggers: gdb, ddd, valgrind, visualvm
- Web browser: Firefox
